Building a Smarter Future: Our Evolving In-House Machine Shop

Investing in fiber laser technology, precision automation, and vertical integration to accelerate production and serve our customers faster with zero compromise on quality.

In our ongoing effort to improve operational autonomy and production accuracy, G. Samaras is expanding its in-house manufacturing capabilities with the upcoming acquisition of the Bodor A3T6 Fiber Laser Cutting System. This advanced model is engineered to deliver high-speed, high-precision cutting across a wide range of metal profiles—both flat and tubular.

The addition of this fiber laser cutting system marks a strategic milestone in the development of what is becoming a fully integrated and technology-driven in-house machine shop. This initiative is part of a broader, long-term effort to create a highly automated production line equipped with next-generation technologies, enabling us to manufacture parts and components entirely in-house with unmatched speed,
repeatability, and dimensional accuracy.

This investment complements previous additions to our production floor, including CNC lathes, CMX U Series vertical machining centers, the Zeus P13 laser system, and the Lynx 2100LSYB Turning Center.

The Lynx 2100LSYB brings enhanced machining performance, multi-axis capability, and compact efficiency to our shop floor. Known for its high rigidity, precise Y-axis control, and sub-spindle integration, this turning center allows for complete machining of complex parts in a single setup—minimizing errors, setups, and cycle times.

The CMX U Series machines, with direct measuring systems on all axes, high-speed inline spindles (up to 15,000 rpm), and robust C-frame designs, offer exceptional stability and precision. Their modular setup allows for tailored configurations, making them ideal for a wide range of applications.

The Zeus P13 laser system has already enhanced our ability to execute intricate designs with speed and accuracy, especially for metal engraving and fine-detail sheet processing.

The Bodor A3T6 Fiber Laser Cutting System brings significant performance advantages: Cutting speeds of up to 100 m/min, precision tolerance as low as ±0.03 mm, acceleration up to 1.5 G, and support for both flat profiles and pipe cutting up to 315 mm in diameter.

With a structurally reinforced frame offering 30% greater rigidity and 25% higher material strength the system maintains excellent cutting stability.

Its hybrid configuration allows seamless switching between plate and tube processing on a single platform, reducing handling time and equipment footprint.

Additional smart features such as photo-driven remnant layout optimization, anti-vibration algorithms for thin-sheet processing, and collision avoidance sensors ensure both efficiency and safety during operation.

The integrated Bodor Genius control system, in combination with Bodor Nest, streamlines job setup and material utilization minimizing waste and maximizing throughput.

As part of our broader smart manufacturing strategy, the A3T6 directly enhances our responsiveness and ability to meet custom production requirements with speed and accuracy.

This level of technological integration enables G. Samaras to produce high-quality components and spare parts entirely in-house without deviations from technical specifications, without production delays, and without dependency on third-party suppliers. This integrated approach accelerates our response time and simplifies design adjustments or iterations enhancing communication and service across all stages of production.

The transition to a smarter, vertically integrated production model not only reduces lead times, but also strengthens our ability to deliver tailored solutions, uphold strict quality control, and adapt to market demands in real time. It is a critical step in reinforcing the reliability, speed, and flexibility that our partners and customers expect.
Our upgraded machine shop is already partially operational. By the end of the year, we anticipate a full transition to a next-generation manufacturing environment designed to support sustained growth, scalability, and long-term technical independence.

This is not just an investment in equipment, it's a commitment to smarter manufacturing and a direct upgrade to our ability to deliver faster, with precision, and entirely on our terms.
