L9 Nurse Call System

L9 Nurse Call System

The efficient operation of a Nurse Call System is a critical factor for the safety of patients and the promptness of hospital care. Modern healthcare facilities require highly responsive, continuous monitoring, and real-time communication networks to connect patients with nursing staff during emergencies or standard care requests.

Within this context, the L9 NC central panel and the NCV room controller board are introduced as an advanced, fully electronic system providing independent visual and audible indicators designed to meet today’s rigorous clinical demands.

From Standard Calls to Advanced Monitoring

The L9 NC is a microprocessor-based system that acts as the operational center of the department. Designed to offer extensive coverage, the system brings a new level of capacity and management to nursing stations:

It supports continuous monitoring for up to 50 beds across 27 rooms.

It handles multiple call priorities, from Normal and Sanitary calls to Assistance and Code Blue medical emergencies.

Transfer of calls to up to two stations.

Call types allow for rapid assessment of urgency, drastically improving workflow efficiency and staff response times.

Smart Room Management with the NCV Controller

At the core of individual patient spaces is the NCV, which functions as the local "brain" of the room connecting all peripherals.

It supports up to 7 bedside handset inputs per room.

It features 6 button inputs to handle Call, Talk, Presence, Cancel, Code Blue, and Emergency signals.

It boasts advanced audio capabilities, including an on-board microphone and connections for external speakers.

Advanced Visualization and User-Friendly Interface

Visual identification is paramount in an emergency. The system relies on a strict color-coded light system to convey status instantly:

Blue: Code Blue (Medical Emergency).

Red (Flashing): Assistance required by staff.

Red (Solid): Normal call for patient assistance.

Yellow/Orange: Emergency/Sanitary call from the bathroom area.

To expand visualization beyond the primary nursing station, an optional 9-inch Touch Screen can be utilized. This device provides immense flexibility by monitoring up to 5 different L9 central stations simultaneously, displaying active call durations and historical events.

Connectivity, Web Interface, and Remote Monitoring

A major advantage of the L9 NC is its built-in network connectivity.

The system includes a built-in RJ45 port for Ethernet connections, allowing authorized users to access a Web User Interface via any standard internet browser.

The Web Interface provides a full emulation of the front panel, displaying the real-time IDLE or active state of up to 27 rooms.

Administrators can remotely adjust the system setup, including department names, active room counts, and call timeouts.

Future-Ready Design and Maintenance

The L9 NC system is designed with long-term reliability and adaptability in mind.

The central panel includes an SD Card slot for recording event history and an integrated NFC tag.

The architecture allows for on-site firmware updates, ensuring the system can evolve alongside future hospital requirements.
